What is the Christie Club?

The Christie Club is a private, member-owned enclave comprising spacious three- and four-bedroom residences, ranging in size from 2,000 to 2,300 square feet, and an elegant 7,000 square-foot clubhouse. The Club has a ski-in, ski-out location at the base of Mt. Werner, adjacent to the Christie ski lifts. Club amenities include a reception lobby, members' lounge, two ski locker rooms, fully equipped health club, steam room, sauna, heated outdoor swimming pool with three jetted spas, game room, and long-term clothing/equipment storage for each membership. The Club provides airport shuttle service and in-town transportation for its members.

How is ownership of the Club evidenced?

Title is evidenced by a real estate deed which is recorded and is insured by a title insurance policy. Each member owns a debt-free undivided deeded interest in one of the Club's elegantly furnished residences. Each member also owns an undivided deeded interest in the clubhouse and common areas.

Is the Christie Club a typical timeshare development?

No. Timeshare is typically the ownership of a specific week and lodging is limited to a specific unit. Christie Club members have access to all Club residences of their membership type and all Club facilities with the right to use anytime, subject to reservation policies. Christie Club membership is very similar to membership in a prestigious equity golf country club, except members reserve lodging rather than tee times.

Why was the Christie Club developed?

Christie Club is designed to: provide more convenience, services, and amenities than are provided by an equally luxurious Steamboat vacation home; provide members with as much vacation use as a typical vacation homeowner uses his or her Steamboat vacation home; and match the real estate ownership price with this use.

Are there similar clubs at other resorts?

Yes. The highly acclaimed Deer Valley Club at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah is a residence club. The creators of the Deer Valley Club are the creators of the Christie Club. Other clubs are operating or in development at other prestigious locations such as Aspen, Boston, Fiji, Jackson Hole, Jamaica, Lake Tahoe, Manhattan, Mexico, Napa Valley, Scottsdale, Snowmass, Telluride and Vail.

Can a Christie Club Membership be resold?

Yes. Like any other form of real estate, a member's deeded interest can be sold or transferred by the member, or sold by a licensed real estate agent through the multiple listing service, subject to the Club Charter and Bylaws.

How often can owner/members use their Club?

As often as they wish, subject to the Club's reservation policies. Members have the flexibility of reserving Club vacations well in advance, and visiting on a short-notice, space-available basis. Each year, members reserve 28 days of vacation in advance. This leaves ample occupancy for space available vacations. There is no limit to the amount of use, and members can use multiple residences at the same time. If some members use the Club less, other members can use it more. Members pay only housekeeping and gratuity fees anytime they vacation at their Club.
